Top 5 best looking calisthenic exercises you can do right away as a beginner!

So, you looking to impress your friends with some cool moves without having to require months of strenuous, continuous hard work? Well you've come to the right place cuz today im going to talk about the 5 best looking calisthenics exercises you can do as a beginner to impress your friends or scare them... depends actually😅 on why exactly you are here today.

without wasting anymore of your time im gonna go through the 5 best looking calisthenics exercises you can do as a beginner!

1.Pull ups

Listen to me now pull ups are the best when it comes to working your back and when done with perfect form pull ups are one of the best looking exercises you can do to impress others and show em that you've got the strength in you. The perfect pull ups are when you place your feet straight and slightly forward and engage your core to make sure your body doesn't swing too much. You should also make sure you squeeze the bar as that helps keeping your form strict. You don't necessarily need to do em with perfect form as long as you don't swing too much and use momentum to pull urself up.

I've seen many bodybuilders that pull the max weight on a machine yet struggle to do a couple pull ups. Make sure you can do a minimum of 10 pull ups in one go without breaking the form and i can assure you that your lats will grow stronger allowing you to perform better exercises. Its really a win win here with the pull ups!

2.Elbow lever

The elbow lever is another easier exercise you can do to impress people watching you! This looks very similar to the 90 degree hold but don't be scared its still pretty easy for a beginner to perform.

You start in a push up position but with your palms facing backwards and closer than regular shoulder width you use for pushups. Now from there you slowly walk forward while bending your arms in such a way that you whole abdomen is resting on your triceps. When you are at this point you pretty much done it, now you just have to find the confidence in you and slowly try leaning forwards making it easier on your feet so they can come off the ground and try to hold that position for as long as you can.

This static hold doesn't really help you much in terms of strength as the other exercises in this list do but it's still a pretty solid and intimidating move to pull off with ease. It might help you build up your core if you haven't done any other exercises to strengthen your core but we arent here today for strength building exercises are we😂?! You can take this exercise to the next level when you've had enough practice and confidence to move on to the one arm variation.

3.explosive push ups

while normal push ups are good looking by themselves training them explosive is going to do you much better; At impressing the by standers as well as growing a massive, strong chest and pushing strength!

You don't have to make yourself explode off the ground so high that you fall to your embarrassment. Be safe and just a simple clap is enough to grab the attention real quick and trust me your going to be looking amazing when you do these explosive fellas while building up the strength to explode higher. So a win win again!

4.Handstand

Handstand is easily one of the most intimidating skills a beginner can learn without having to require tremendous strength. You would obviously start working for a handstand the day you decided to pull yourself into calisthenics. To be honest handstand was the exercise that pulled me towards calisthenics so i feel its pretty safe to assume you have made trials for it too. You don't need to perform a free standing handstand hold but instead you can take the support of a wall and create the same impression.

Its just unusual for normal people since you will be standing upside down and obviously something that isn't common is a going to create a good or fair talk among em. So start working your handstand more.

I cant really suggest you a way to do the handstand because i haven't followed the right steps to it and instead just kinda winged it after a few failed attempts. So here is a video i feel will aid you the best when aiming for a handstand: Handstand tutorial from THENX

5.Skin the cat/German hang

This here again is absolutely one of the best exercise you can do as a beginner that will benefit you with strength gain as well as making you look cool while you're doing it. As an absolute beginne you use the progression, German hangs for a timespan of 30 sec atleast. German hangs look abnormal when compared to the usual dead hang so you will get your friends attention whilst building strength and flexibility in your shoulders to be able to perform the next progression namely "Skin the cat".

Just in time when your friends get used to seeing you perform German hangs.. bam! You give them skin the cat which you've progressed onto using the German hangs.
